Yesterday, I ventured to the BBC house to take a class tour. It was pretty standard stuff, where we saw the newsroom, old theatre hall, The One Show studio and did a radio drama test for funsies. It was pretty entertaining, though I wish it was more in-depth about television rather than radio and news. We were supposed to have a talk from Maryam Maruf, but unfortunately she was called away on urgent business. Though, we had a talk with cameraman Sharam Hedairi who gave us some valuable insights about filming on location and in a war zone/unsafe area.
Note: I would give more details regarding the talk with Sharam Hedairi, but I feel for safety reasons it’s best not to – basically there was talk of passports.
